LEDS-C4 has collaborated in the whole recovery of such an emblematic place by supplying the interior lighting in different rooms and corridors in the main wing of the old Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau de Barcelona building.
The Multidir Series by LEDS-C4 was the starting point for the architect Joan Noguer, from OLN arquitectes, to design a series of pendant lights and wall lamps answering to the following criteria:
- Integration in the space.
- LED technology, projectors and steerable lights: technical, precise and sustainable lighting.
- Emergency system integrated in every piece.
- DALI system control.
LEDS-C4 developed and manufactured sixteen different models, taking into account those needs, to cover and light different spaces in the hospital.
Some completely newly created 32 x 17 metres cross shaped lights was developed to light the underground building room called Sala Hipòstila. That is a pendant light with inferior LED lighting, T5 superior fluorescent and five integrated emergency points. All of them are controlled by the DALI system.
The result of the restoration, as it can be observed nowadays, is fully satisfactory. The lighting proposal offered by LEDS-C4 highlights the beauty of the place and lights so many years of history with current technology and the maximum energy saving.
